I have recently qualified as a certified grief educator, under the guidance of world renowned grief expert, David Kessler. So, if you’re bereaved, how can I help you as a grief educator? Well, I hope this training will enrich and deepen my existing holistic grief coaching practice and how I’m able to support you.
A Certified Grief Educator is committed to providing the highest level of grief support through education, experience, and insights into the often unacknowledged rocky terrain of grief.
Certified Grief Educators bring David Kessler’s unique methodology, tools, and decades of experience to help people navigate the challenges of grief.

As a holistic grief coach, I already use a unique mind/body/spirit approach incorporating my nutritional therapy training, where necessary, to address any physical expressions of grief, such as digestive issues, insomnia, fatigue, anxiety etc. But one of the most important things I can offer is to simply listen to you talk about your person who has died. Grief needs to be witnessed if we are to heal. I have personal ‘lived experience’ of multiple and traumatic losses so I get just how challenging grief can be. I can offer you understanding and compassion, whatever your loss. I know that it can often feel like those around us simply don’t fully understand how painful and complicated grief can be.
Here’s what I understand as a grief educator
• Grief can be traumatic and transformative. People in grief are not broken, and don’t need fixing. I offer people in grief the utmost respect and serve them based on their needs and their unique experience and expression.
• I offer an individualised approach to grief. There is no timeline in grief and we know there is not a cure. But as a grief educator, I can reflect and guide people towards creating a life that honours their loved ones.
• The foundation of serving comes from a place of connection. Empathy, genuineness, honesty, and respect are essential elements of being a grief educator.
• True expertise in grief lies with the griever. It is my role as a grief coach to understand you as a whole person and your strengths and individual levels of wellness.
• Connection is important to our well-being. I use a mind/body/spirit approach to grief and remind people of the importance of connection to themselves, their friends, family, and community, as well as cultivating an ongoing relationship with your loved one who had died.
• I are committed to providing a safe space for those in grief.
